Join Us in Shaping the Future
At NatuvWay Foundation and Natuv Inc., we are creating a future where Native American and Alaskan Native communities are not just participants in the digital economy but leaders in technology, security, and innovation. Whether through education, workforce development, cultural preservation, or enterprise solutions, we are committed to empowering Indigenous nations with the tools, resources, and opportunities to thrive in the digital age. Together, we can protect our past, empower our present, and build a thriving digital future for Indigenous communities.
Our Story
NatuvWay Foundation was established during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time that exposed critical gaps in technology access within Native American and Alaskan Native communities. As schools, healthcare, and businesses moved online, many tribal nations and rural populations lacked reliable internet, digital devices, and the technical skills necessary to adapt. This urgent need drove us to take action—not just to bridge the digital divide, but to create lasting solutions that empower Indigenous communities in the rapidly evolving digital world.
As an Indigenous women-led organization, we recognize that true digital equity goes beyond access. Our work focuses on building the skills, knowledge, and infrastructure needed for Indigenous people to lead in emerging technology fields. Through education, workforce training, digital preservation, and AI-driven innovation, we provide pathways for tribal nations to engage, build, and thrive in the global tech landscape while maintaining full control over their cultural knowledge.

Preserving Culture Through Digital Innovation
As we worked to expand digital access, we also recognized the urgent need to protect Indigenous knowledge, languages, and histories. With many elders and knowledge keepers becoming ancestors, there was a critical responsibility to record and preserve cultural teachings in a way that respects tribal sovereignty. In response, we launched digital libraries and archives tailor-made for tribal nations, ensuring that each community has full autonomy over its knowledge and research.
Our digital preservation initiatives include:
- Language Revitalization Developing tribally controlled digital archives for oral histories, traditional stories, and language learning resources.
- Boarding School Archives Safeguarding historical records, survivor testimonies, and institutional data in secure, culturally sensitive digital environments.
- GIS Mapping and Land Reclamation Using geospatial technology to document ancestral lands, sacred sites, and environmental data for sovereignty and conservation efforts.
- Community-Controlled Knowledge Systems Implementing language-specific metadata, access controls based on cultural protocols, and secure digital repositories that ensure knowledge remains within the Nation, accessible only to its members without fear of exploitation.
This work is deeply personal and central to our mission. We believe that Indigenous data should be controlled by Indigenous people, and our efforts ensure that knowledge is preserved, protected, and passed on through tribal leadership
